The Review

In full disclosure, this was just me (Kim), with some co-workers.  It was a beautiful day, so we headed to Jax to eat outside by the tulips and the trout creek.  We had the ultra-private table in the corner of the garden, and as always, it was beautiful.

They changed the lunch menu somewhat recently, evidently, since some of their old standards aren't listed any longer (such as their mac & cheese and the chicken pot pie).  The server told us that they had updated and simplified it, and it looked like there were some good choices available.

My walleye slider was great - really tasty with some nice tartar sauce on the side.  The burger was alright, but I thought that it was too heavily seasoned.  The beef flavor was pretty masked.  The fries were great.

I can highly recommend the Jax garden - the gardeners do a great job, and it's ever-changing throughout the spring and summer.  Once in a while you'll even get a show with your meal as a staff member (or brave customer) selects a trout with a net.
